2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle at home. Pours clear amber, no head. Big bubbles, too fizzy. Light malt aromas, butterscotch. Taste is watery and buttery. Used to like this beer, 5+ years ago. Itís changed or I have. Probably both.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bitter? Ratebeer, hang your heads. This is a classic IPA in the tradional sense. Scotlandís IPA royalty. A Scottish/British IPA not an American one, which are amazing in their own right but a different category. This one is golden, smooth, subtle and not in your face like modern interpretations but drink and love. The bitterness overrides the malts and sweetness (classic IPA, not bitter). Another great simple beer with nostalgic character and history. Here reserved for you to drink the classic style of IPA. Like Belhaven 80, a true Scottish classic. Like a little black dress, fish and chips, VW Golf and The Rolling Stones, dependable good beer. Keep it up Caledonian, its a classic. Why is it so different on cask though? Great beer too but very different.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, on Skye. Pours clear and light amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is grassy, hay, light malt, floral, some pleasant character from aroma hops. Flavour is light malt, lightly fruity, a little sweetness but a slightly buttery texture. Not bad, enjoyable enough.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear amber color, topped with an average white head. A mild malty aroma, not much else there. A mildly sweet taste, some caramel and slighht bittery finish. Enjoyable and smooth.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Faint hints of cereal on the nose with malts and hops. Appearance is amber brown with a thin white head. Taste is pleasant and very mellow with malts, biscuit and caramel flavour notes present. The mouth feel is very smooth and velvety with limited carbonation. Overall a very sessionable beer that is not very complex but enjoyable to drink all the same.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Malty aroma with some earthy, grassy hops. Taste pretty much follows but with the initial malt overshadowed by the dank grass and earthiness. Pretty well balanced beer. Sweet-ish with a nice bitter finish but a bit too musty for me. Medium-light carbonation and medium-light body.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from a Tesco. It pours clear golden amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, malt-forward, bread, toasty grain and soap. The taste is crisp, lightly bitter, bread, grass, floral and lemony soap with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Simple and not much doing. I prefer the cask version.
