So this on tap all over Edinburg but my rating is from drunken walkabout. Gold pour with faint hops aromas. Tastes are all middle the road hopping characteristics. Citrus and pine but subdued. Bitter palate.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2015 Bit too mild and bland for me. Not enough going on to keep me interested. Good appearance though. Second pint a couple of years later. Still bit bland but better on palate this time.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Classic Scottish beer, launched in the ’90s to remember brewer Robert Deuchars. Thin but stable head, colour a warm golden blonde with orange hue. Fruity aroma, apple, peach, orange peel, malty background, some peppery hops; taste begins fruity, soft maltiness, sweetish, ending in a herbal, quite strong hop bitterness. Stylistically to be regarded as an IPA in the original, British sense of the word, it seems, but in that sense different from the American-style IPA’s we are more acquainted with nowadays.
