Golden with a quickly disappearing head. Sour hopped but with plenty of malts in the mix.

Poured a golden color, nice frothy head. Aroma of fruits. Flavor of fruits and grains. Hops balanced a tad but overall could have been played up more. Body was moderate to frothy on cask. A light and refreshing brew.

Pint at the brewery. You’d think if it was going to be good anywhere, it’d be here, right? Well, after a few years of having increasingly bad pints of this stuff around Edinburgh, then outright avoiding it in the same locale for another couple of years, I thought I’d give it another go. It’s still the same. Dull as the proverbial dishwater.

Cask at Pennyweight, Darlington. Clear golden amber colour, foamy white head leaving lots of lacing, and a malty aroma. Taste is fruity malt mash, watery, with a biscuity note. Light creamy mouth feel, medium carbonation and a very slight hoppy dry bitterness. OK bitter.

This was my go to bitter at the pub in northern England and Scotland. Subtle, low abv for sessioning, and goes well with food.

No bad .... not really good.... but not really bad. This is a nice draft ale, non-controversial. Plain honest bitter. Hops, then fruity hops, a bit of apple?? Easy to quaff ..... Do we care it is brewed by Heineken?

(Cask at The Three Compasses,London) Pours gold/orange in colour, clear, thin white head, minimal lacing low carbonation and light in body Aroma of light malts minimal citrus. Taste is light citrus, sweet biscuity malt. A bit "meh" really, nothing special but available nearly everywhere if there is nothing else.

3.8% gold colour with a nice head, hop aroma and smooth hoppy taste, lovely on a warm September afternoon outside Wainwright’s bar of Bay Hotel, Robin Hood’s Bay, North Yorkshire, England.

Gold, thin frothy head; earthy aroma; grainy malt flavour at first, leading to a hoppy, dry finish; slight sulphuric tinge permeates throughout (this example was possibly slight past its best); easy drinking, but nothing special.

Cask@MoonUnderWater, Wolverhampton. Golden colour large creamy head, good lacing. Aroma of mild citrus. Taste is of lemons with a hoppy bitterness. A little too watery on the palate. Average beer.
