Cask at the Pot Still, Glasgow. Better than the bottled version which is more than decent. A well balanced beer with good depth of flavour. Biscuity and lightly hoppy with a viscous and refreshing mouthfeel.

So this on tap all over Edinburg but my rating is from drunken walkabout. Gold pour with faint hops aromas. Tastes are all middle the road hopping characteristics. Citrus and pine but subdued. Bitter palate.

Pours amber and clear, a foamy white covering which diminishes completely. Malty and fruity aromas, hint of lemon, smooth tasting with a caramel finish. Solid bitter.

Bit too mild and bland for me. Not enough going on to keep me interested. Good appearance though.

Pours clear golden colour with minimal head. Aroma of grass and mild lemony fruits. Flavour of malts, hay, lemon, fruits and herbs.

Alengrin (1258) - BELGIUM - AUG 2, 2014
Classic Scottish beer, launched in the ’90s to remember brewer Robert Deuchars. Thin but stable head, colour a warm golden blonde with orange hue. Fruity aroma, apple, peach, orange peel, malty background, some peppery hops; taste begins fruity, soft maltiness, sweetish, ending in a herbal, quite strong hop bitterness. Stylistically to be regarded as an IPA in the original, British sense of the word, it seems, but in that sense different from the American-style IPA’s we are more acquainted with nowadays.

A good low alcohol bitter with lots of flavor. Pours a hazy orange with a frothy three fingers of white head. Sweet citrus and grass hops with light spiced notes. Mild caramel and honey sweetness with light lemon notes. Grainy malts on the finish

Fruity hoppy aroma. Quite sweet smelling. Golden honey colour. Very hoppy tasting with lingering back of the throat. Good session beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at Big Jug Durham. Very slight aroma of hops. Quite flat, with very little bitterness. A bit sweet, taste of friuts. Light apricot colour. The only IPA on the tap, this is the reason for trying it.

On cask: Cloudy golden pour with a creamy white head. Cut, wet grass, slight citrus, pine and cat pee. Quite tangy on the palate and refresing. Not bad.
