doubelknv3 (507), Illinois, USA Jun 21, 2008 Tasting notes from 2004 Banbury Beer festival and at a Pub downtown Solihull. Hazy, golden with frothy lasting head. Caramel, floral, and citrus aroma notes. Caramel, floral, citrus, mild grapefruit flavours. Watery, but balanced session bitter.
LooseCannon (712), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Dec 14, 2008 Draft at Commodore in Helensburgh Scotland. Pours clear amber in color with white head. Aroma malty and citrus hops. Taste malty, citrus hops and watery with bitter finish. Bart (1500), Vosselaar, Belgium Nov 29, 2008 Cask, light amber coloured beer with no carbonation and a medium creamy white head. Sweeter fruity aroma with a full creamy smouth palate. Finish is bitter, light fruity hoppy touched with some herby, vanilla touches. Very special one, but misses some finishing touches. Bullit (687), Glasgow, Scotland Nov 20, 2008 Cask @ Bon Accord. Hazy yellow colour, tiny white head. Hoppy aroma, sweet flavours of malts and fruits. Finishes with a nice hop bitterness. EFC1878 (176), Manchester, Greater Manchester, England Sep 28, 2008 Draught, various locations over the years. Never had a satisfactory pint of this. Typical under-hopped Scottish beer. Malt is pretty much the only detectable characteristic in either aroma or taste. Sickly hints of caramel. Half decent body but that doesn’t rescue it from the depths of blandness - I’d walk barefoot over broken glass to avoid this. skortila (2495), Bunnik, Netherlands Sep 28, 2008 Cask @ Bow bar, Scotland. Aroma has toffee and citrus. Slightly hazy, yeellow coloured beer with a white head. Taste is a bit sweet with some flowery hops and fruits. Some butter.
