Red amber with a moderate head. The flavour has initial notes of licorice and then some sweetness, vanilla and caramel. The bitterness is moderate and the finish is short. Not a beer that leaves a great impression...

Bottle. Reddish-brown colour. Sweet caramel aroma with toasty malt and some alcohol. Flavour is sweet and malty, some fruitiness, bit spiced. Good brew.

[Cask at Crystal Palace JDW] deep mahogany colour with a minimal head. Aroma of toffee and plums ,caramel a little alcohol. full body, very sweet some alcoholic peppery notes in the finish.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Deep amber colour with a small off white head. Malty and caramel sweet aroma. Malty and sweet flavor with toffee notes.

Cask conditioned at Charlies as Edinburgh Strong Ale. Dark amber coloured. Malty and caramelly aroma with buttery notes. Very sweet toffee flavour with malty and fruity notes.
