Flying Scotsman is a sophisticated full flavoured premium bitter beer combining the best barley from the north and robust southern hops. Profoundly malty in aroma but balanced with hints of raisiny spiciness and toasty dryness. Fresh, slightly citrus tang with a rich rounded finish.

Reddish/brown pour with a dissipating white head. Aromas of malts, bread, nut, grass, biscuit hint of citrus. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Sweet from the biscuity malts and nut, slightly bitter from the hops. Nae bad at all.

A dark, amber brown beer with a weak white head. A light malty aroma, nutty, woody and a touch grassy. Dry mouthfeel. The taste is dry, biscuity malt, bitter nuttiness followed by a hint of hoppy citrus fruit. The finish is well balanced between the hops and the malt.

Clear amber beer with a thick frothy head. Aroma is malt and strong caramel. The taste follows suit, though with an odd sour tang on the tongue, too, which slightly spoiled it for me. Pleasant enough but nothing memorable.
