COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Flying Scotsman is a sophisticated full flavoured premium bitter beer combining the best barley from the north and robust southern hops. Profoundly malty in aroma but balanced with hints of raisiny spiciness and toasty dryness. Fresh, slightly citrus tang with a rich rounded finish.

Copper amber with a lacy thin white lasting head. Deep smell of caramel malt, plum, figs and light toasted malt. Defiantly smells better than the taste. Medium thin body. Tastes of malt and dried fruit. Slight stale skunky elements, lager cardboard bitterness. Almond and citrus finish. Not really special or good. Disbalanced

Good taste with hoppy and raisins nute. White foam, medium thick, stays for 3 minutes. Dark-golden colour, somewhat copper.

500 ml bottle poured into an outsize tulip. Dark amber with a thin white head.Juicy plum and cinder toffee aroma. Fruit and nut toffee, red berries, and spicy almond flavours. Gentle carbonation, and a rounded bitter finish. Quite assertive for a 4% bitter. Enjoyable.

Earthy, malty aroma, well balanced with a toffee finish, not bad, a good example of the style

500ml bottle - pours a nice chestnut brown with a white head, a lovely malty aroma, with a fruity nose there too. A bit spicy, with a decent mouthfeel, and a citrusy bitter after taste. Not bad this one.

A drak amber colour. Cream coloured head didn’t last too long. Quite carbonated. Caramel flavour with some dark toffee and slight chocolate notes. Slight citrus finish.

A great pint. Typical of the style expected from caledonian brewery. His a smooth taste with a malt and caramel taste. Good in a bottle would be great on tap.

Pours a lovely thick white head with a pale amber body. Aroma is grainy and caramel, tangy caramel like taste, almost tangy with a milky back taste on a hearty drink, quite sweet on the tounge, quite a thick and sticky mouth feel. Quite a nice beer, pretty easy to drink and pretty enjoyable... also an interesting story to go with it (Commemoration of the historical Flying Scotsman train service from Scotland to London).

Dull copper colour with a thin slightly off white head. Taste of malt and toffee. Aroma of malt and flowery hops.
