3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a lovely thick white head with a pale amber body. Aroma is grainy and caramel, tangy caramel like taste, almost tangy with a milky back taste on a hearty drink, quite sweet on the tounge, quite a thick and sticky mouth feel. Quite a nice beer, pretty easy to drink and pretty enjoyable... also an interesting story to go with it (Commemoration of the historical Flying Scotsman train service from Scotland to London).

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml brown glass bottle from supermarket. Some toffee notes. Quite pleasant, but once the forced carbonation wears off it tastes a bit icky. Some jam, some cardboard, bluergh. Drink it while still fizzy so you donít get the full flavour of the processing itís gone through.

Bottle round The Jenners limbering up for the Sweden game. Cocoa-dusted plum, Imperial Leather and fig aroma. Deep coppery bronze with a well-behaved lacing foam. Deep Scottish maltiness; raisins, milk chocolate, fig again.Touches of almond with Hobnob afters. Mouth-filling. Bit of a treat. Maybe Iíve been on the Baltic pale lagers too long.
