Cask; Special - July 2009.
This month Edinburgh sees its biggest ever Gathering of the Clans. You don’t have to be Scottish to join in. Light, hoppy, refreshing, easy-drinking beer. An ideal ale for the summer months and cool sipping out of doors.
Hops: Styrian Golding, Willamette, Pioneer.

Cask@ Gathering games, Edinburgh. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of malt, taste of fruits and dry bitter fruity hop. Not the best beer that you can find in Edinburgh.

Cask @ World’s End, Edinburgh.
Pours clear golden with a nice, creamy, white head. Sweet malty aroma, some butterscotch, light hops. Prickly carbonation, fair dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, light butterscotch, malty and some fair, flowery hoppiness.

Cask somewhere ... yellow amber ... thin hwite head ... light grapefruit nose .. dry bitter fruity hop ... little floral ... too bitter for me.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Cale’s pale malts, small honey character, lots of bitterness which would be actually quite nice but the underlying butteryness stops it.
