a faintly likable little ale-- like that homely and disheveled kid in the fourth grade you could barely constrain open contempt for, but who was always so decent, you couldn’t be cruel. this begs some abuse because it’s as overpriced as dinner at the airport-- they must have watered their fields of organic barley with the papal-blessed tears of virginal nightingales. presumptuous pricing aside, the GP begins it’s kolsch-like impression with a flaxen, clear pour, bright as the tuners on a new les paul. the head is as white as kosher salt, but much softer and given to rapid withdrawal. enticing aroma of honied apricot, with sugar wafer maltiness, some hay and butterscotch. the flavor is easy and quenching with sweet, grassy malts and salients of dried apple. bright carbonation and mild bitterness egress with echoes of more butterscotch. it was clean and refreshing just when i needed those qualities-- and that’s all that keeps this fourth grader from pounding the stuffing out of this snotty little dweeb.

500ml bottle bought at Luvians in St Andrews. Clear golden body with a white lacing-head. Light aroma of pale malts. Sweet fruit-malty taste receiving a spicy touch towards the ending. Short tail. Lively carbonated [31.10.2008].

Sampled 11/14/08. This blond/golden ale pours a deep orange gold color from a 500ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is malty, bready and sweet. A medium bodied golden ale. The malts are bready and grainy, touch of cookie. The hops are earthy and floral. Good carbonation. A touch sweet, but there is just enough hops bitterness to balance. Kind of has that apple juice/tea thing going on here as well. Drinkable beer, but kind of boring. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle, 500 ml. Malt and hops on the nose, and rounded with yeast on the palate. Quite light to the taste, but flavoursome, despite a short-lived/non-existent head.

Hazy and luminescent with really thick white head. Aroma of pressed flowers, talcum powder, custard apple in the distance. Aftertaste slightly tart, fruity. Tangy finish suggests some oxidation of this bottle.
