Notes from a month ago. Fresh and complex, dark and fairly enveloping, this has good integration of nuts and malt with a degree of mealiness about it. Good balanced level of carbonation too. Reasonable lingering end. Another example of Caladonian proving their potential by brewing their plder range as they were meant to be. They need to do more of this.

Taste is light, thin malts, water, touch of resin. Insipid, nothing much to it. Not offensive really, just not very good.

Flavours are sweet, nutty dark toffee with hints of chocolate. Raisins with green apple bite and dry black, spicy tea. It’s OK.
