Mes_and_Sim (3869), London, Greater London, England Aug 3, 2007 A Mes rate:
Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. Clean light amber with a reasonable head. Tobacco hop aroma with a very pleasing dash of cinnamon but a dash does not a good beer make. Nutty and malty base topped with dusty hoppage. Dry nutty finish with licks of grapefruit. So so. Beese (79), Watford, Hertfordshire, England Jul 24, 2007 Golden colour with a fair amount of white head. Slightly honeyish aroma as well as citric hops. The honey in the flavour is a little more subdued than some of the other honey beers and is probably better for it. Fairly drinkable, but nothing special. blankboy (2464), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 23, 2007 Cask at The Blue Posts, London. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size mostly-lasting white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of light hops, honey and fruit. Mildly sweet flavour with a light bitter finish goes down smooth. Average bodied. Decent enough, nothing great but goes down easy on warm summer day. M0RHI (985), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Jul 8, 2007 Cask, Cellar Bar, St Andrews. Darkish golden with a thin white head. Hoppy and slightly sweet disjointed honeyness. Some slight malt and slightly strawberry, slightly citrusy fruit, balanced by hop and honey. Bit predictable really, but quaffable. cgarvieuk (2071), Edinburgh, Scotland Jun 20, 2007 Edinburgh Beer festival 07 ... Deep amber ... hop with little fruit ... hop orange ... citric fruit ... very fruity.
