Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in February 2004. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber with russet highlights and a thin creamy white head. Slight note of oatmeal in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with a smooth creamy toffee flavour. Slight hop presence in the metallic aftertaste but malt still there in the sweet finish. Not as good as some of the other 4% in the Caley portfolio.

[draught at wetherspoons] very badly poured so very minimal head but aside from that pours very light and clear, looks a little like a lager. nose is a little hoppy, thin body.

Although poured without a sparkler, which i felt like hitting the boy for, was not too bad. Aroma seemed hoppy and cirtus. Flavour was the same thin and flat, but due to pour. Found it quite rfreshing and would like to try it again.

Cask Conditioned, at The Maltings, York, Yorkshire.
Clear, pale golden coloured body with a fine white head. Metallic aroma and taste. Astringent, aluminium flavoured hops. Beer looked and felt all the world like a great beer, it just tasted tainted….a glass of aluminium fillings in every sip.

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2004
Cask conditioned @ JDW. The colour of golden summer wheat only paler, more anaemic and sparklingly clear. Mango and tropical fruit hop aromas. Citric taste with dull oxidised finish.
