Cask. Not so good aroma, maybe cask was open for too long. Golden colour with long-lasting head. Not very intensive bitternes in taste with well balanced biscuit sweetness.

This beer had a nasy aroma of stale farts, Iím unsure what causes this as Iíve had it with a few beers, maybe itís a type of hop or malt which causes it. The rest of beer was fine, taste was medium bitter

[cask at the Caledonian Brewery, Edinburgh] Pour is clear as a bell, large fluffy white head. Looks very inviting. Aroma is faintly sweet and musty, like hay in a loft after a long summer. The taste, surprisingly, is similar. Backed up by that trademark caramelised sweetspot flavour I just donít get on with, the whole thing finishes just too sweet for my taste

Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in August 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Clean fresh floral notes long in the nose. Zesty refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale biscuit malts in the base with citric fruit notes of lemon, grapefruit, lime and goosberry. Dusty floral hops combine well with the fruity malt to give a juicy aftertaste. Finish has a citric zest of grapefruit. A pleasant summer session blond ale.

Cask at the Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Golden color with a slight copper tint. Malty aroma with chocolate and a bit of hops. Biscuity, malty flavor, some fruit, ok hopping. Slightly earthy, caramel. Dry, long-lasting, hoppy finish. Good stuff.
