UPDATED: MAR 19, 2013 For a change, a Spanish region (Asturias) produces a beer that has nothing to do with the typical Spanish lagers. I’d simply describe this as a traditional and over average English Pale Ale. There’s nothing more (nor less) than that. Great if you enjoy the style. Drunk from a (nice) bottle.

Dorada ligeramente anaranjada. Gran seasonal.

(Caleya Asturies Pale Ale) Received from fombe89, many thanks! Bottle 330 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5% Crystal clear body, golden yellow/orange in colour, with a small and thin white head on top, with average retention. Aroma has some hops, citrus, orange, a bit faint. Taste has also some faint hops, grass, citrus, grapefruit. Also not very promounced. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Dry on the palate. Not bad, it could use more flavour.

33cl bottle thanks to Lowenbrau . Appearance: Hazy deep golden, with a Perfect looking rich 3 fingers thick slightly ofwhite head. Retention is ok, (But is not as good as it oiginal looks.), but the lacing is very nice. Aroma: Pears, spruce and cookies and some lemon. Taste: Following the aroma starts moderate sweet with cookies, pears and some sprice, then there is a good bitterness in te finnish which shows sime resin tones, medium boy, slighty below average carbonation.

Bottle shared at a tasting, thanks fombe89. Clear yellow-golden with a small white head. Aroma of spruce, pine, lemon and onion. Sweetish with notes of citrus (grapefruit, lemon zest), medium bitterness. Medium-bodied, quite dry and easy drinking.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks zvsn. Clear yellow. Aroma of hay and grassy and citric hops. Rather dry flavor with grassy and slightly citric hops and a nice bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Quite pleasant.
