On tap at Sigler’s in Chattanooga as "Dead Horse" with 6.0% ABV. Clear but opaque and essentially black body. Near medium body and soft, medium-light carbonation. Adequate dark roasted grain flavor and aroma, but weaker than the Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat that preceded this. On the other hand, this has more obvious hops. The flavor has coffee in the finish and a touch of dark chocolate.

Tasted on draft at the 12 South Winter Warmer in 2011. Pours cloudy dark brown-orange with an average beige head that leaves thin, spotty lace. The nose is nutty brown sugar and oatmeal with light bitterness. The flavor is brown sugar, caramel, and a hint of maple up front, with a hint of cinnamon and herbal bitterness. The body is medium with average carbonation and a medium, lightly bitter brown sugar and caramel finish.
