Hop forward with nice pine and citrus with a hint of spearmint on the finish. Has a nice crisp and mellow malt body with a biscuity aftertaste.

Tap at ML Rose West Nashville. Aroma hard to tell as it may be influenced by dishwasher. Cloudy (unfiltered) and copper color. No lace. Not floral so I don't get the west coast vibe. Pretty ordinary.

Nutty grassy smell. Reminds me of a cross between an english and belgian pale, not west coast. A little sweet on the finish. Murky unfiltered orange, love how it looks. Probably the best part. Average stuff.

The front of the taste is sharp, refreshing and velvety in the middle. The lacing on the glass is minimal, and the nose has a grassy quality, finishing with a taste that leaves a hint of sweet leaf on the tongue.

From a growler purchased at Midtown Wine and Liquor. Awesome again to see growler fills not at the brewery and just at a bottle shop, nice job TN legislature. Pours a dark brown with light tan head. Some grassy notes, probably just from me reading the name, and some mild hop and toffee. Taste is more malt than hop with some more English malt notes than anything else but fairly light. Overall, not what I would really call a west coast anything. Pretty average to below average.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted on draft at the Nashville Beer Festival. Pours cloudy orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is cereal and hay malt with some orange peel bitterness and spicy hops. The flavor is the same hay and cereal malt up front, moving to orange peel bitterness and finishing with a spicy hops note. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long spicy and bitter orange peel finish.

A very very nice APA... I was not sure on my first two from Calfkiller... but this one is a winner. If you love IPAs but not the bitterness (think Pale Ale from TommyKnocker or IPA such as Loose Cannon... this one is in that family and quiet awesome... Not yeasty... Not cloudy, herb citrus enjoyable. Good job guys.
