COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cali Colsch is a continental mash-up. We ferment California grown base malt with Kolsch yeast from Cologne, Germany. The malt shines through with hints of wheat and fresh barley. The yeast adds levels of complexity and notes of peach and pear, similar to the finish of a white wine. American and European noble hops give our beer an assertive hop character while still keeping it drinkable. A sessionable beer to enjoy in sun or shade alike. Pair with light or creamy cheese, fruits and salad, chicken or seafood.

A - Pours a clear golden-yellow with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of pilsner and grainy malts with some lemon zest and lager yeast esters and a bit of diacetyl. T - Starts off with pilsner malts with some lemon zest and a touch of citrus hops. Through the middle, some lager yeast esters come through with some grainy malt flavor. The finish is mix of pilsner malts, lemon zest, lager yeast, and some light fruity esters. T - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and lightly tart finish. D - Very drinkable. Nicely balanced Kölsh that stays fairly true to the style.

Bomber from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours slight hazy gold with a slight but frothy white head. Aroma is bready, fruity, hint of citrus. Med body. Flavor is light, bready malt with notes of light pitted/seeded fruits and maybe a touch of citrus.Stands up to the style. I’d say better than the average kolsch.

22 oz. bottle. I was excited to try this new brewery and was pleasantly surprised by all three of their brews! It pours a nice clear golden color with a disappearing white head. The aroma has distinct notes of peach, pear, cereal grains and herbal hops. The flavor is the same. It’s light on the palate with complex flavors of pale fruit (peach, pear, white grape) before a mildly herbal, bitter finish. Very drinkable. If I have one complaint, the carbonation is a bit low for the style. Hopefully this will be worked out in future batches, but otherwise this is a very nice debut!
