3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, - FEB 8, 2006
Draught at the brewpub Hazy dark amber. The aroma leans towards foresty hops and malts like multigrain bread. Kind of underhopped for the style, but bringing that whole grain bread maltiness and hints of crystal overtop the foresty hop. Evenly balanced and well-made, just be prepared that thsi is not your standard Cali hop juice IPA.

Tap at the brewpub. The body was deep hazy bronze with a light khaki head. The aroma was oranges with some peanuts. Malty. The taste was oranges with some old caramel. Hints of leather and apples. An earthy finish, this was malty for the style.

Tap @ brewpub. Cloudy golden orange color. Good hop and malt balance. The best beer on tap that I had here.
