Jul 4, 2007 Draught, Calistoga Inn. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cookie, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers, apricot), with notes of peach, diacetyl, and corn syrup. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not very pilsner-ish.

Beer is clear, light caramel brown-gold colored with a small, frothy, white, lasting head.<P>The aroma is malty with moderate notes of husky toasted grain, light toasted bread and caramel; Hoppy with a light note of orange zest, moderate note of honeysuckle, resin/pine; Yeasty with a light note of dough, trace of sweat; Light miscellaneous note of tropical fruit.<P>The flavor is light-to-moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter with a long, light-to-moderately bitter, lightly acidic, lightly sweet finish. Light astringency on the gums. Husky retros.<P>The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

Mar 17, 2007 Grainy nose, gold color. Short sweet malt with a slight cardboard taste. Spicy hop bitter end. Light body. Clear palate.
