COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You'll love it or hate it; no in-betweens. An excellent wheat beer for drinking on a hot day. The typical phenolic banana flavor of wheat ales is not evident. The blueberry flavor is slightly sweet without being cloying, with an interesting light overtone of black pepper. The finish is a lingering sensation, best done repeatedly.

Draft at San Diego Brewing Co. Hazy Yellow. No head and consequently no lacing either. Aromas were some blueberry and some yeast. Flavors were sweet blueberry first, then some sour vinious flavors, finished off by Captain Cruch Berries. Not a bad beer to try once in a while.

Pours hazy yellow with slight white head. Aroma like blueberry muffins. Subtle to just a little too sweet on the blueberry flavor, but not bad.

Draught somewhere in San Diego. Aroma is all sweet blueberry. Flavor is equally sweet with some wheaty cream finish. Tasted great with lunch.

On tap at Callahans; had it previously at SDBC, but didn’t know who made it at the time. ARoma of perfume and blueberry. Color was clear gold. Flavor was sweet, blueberry and wheat, with something akin to vanilla. Solid for style.

sample @ SDBC Pours white clear, thick white head. Aroma / taste, blueberry extract, bready cookie mouthfeel, wheat, sweet and not much of the berry tartness could be detected.

Draft. Straw colored beer with a cream colored head. Aroma of blueberry muffins. Blueberry and light wheat flavor. Medium bodied. Blueberry lingers with light malt/wheat. Interesting enough.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and acidic to light orange/vitamin C blueberry aroma. Flavour is the same with a light sweetness prior. Ends with a lasting citrusy fruity finish.

Overall, pretty good. Blueberries all over taste and nose, but otherwise a very dry malty brew.

On tap at the San Diego Brew Pub. Their selection of house beers sucked sooo bad, they had to fill in the sampler with an outside beer. Poured a medium yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of blueberry muffins, and some wheatiness. Tastes of lighter blueberries with stronger wheat - opposite of the aroma. Sad as it was, this was the best they gave me - better than any of their house beers.

On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a deep golden body and an off-white head. Nose is straight blueberry-buckwheat pancakes. Very strong and distinct aroma. Taste is also very easy to sum up: Clearly Canadian Blueberry Soda. Sweet, strong blueberry presence that somehow isn’t cloying or annoyingly artificial. Lively to fizzy bubbles lead to a lively mouthfeel.
