Backlog, from notes. On tap @ the brewpub, 11 May 2001. Copper colored. Aromaís: malts, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet, malty, with an staring bitterness. Body is light to medium. Moderate bitter finish. Good, but I liked the Centenniale I had afterwards better (but I canít add it anymore...)

Clear reddish amber with a medium beige head. Aroma had roasted malt, caramel and spicy hops. Flavour was fairly spicy with roasted malt, caramel and hops that made it slightly dry and bitter.

A: A light amber colored pour with a nice fluffy off-white head to it. S: The aroma is primarily of toasted bread and sweet caramel, but there is a distinct off-note that Iíve noticed in several other red ales. T: This one opens up with a caramel sweetness along with toasted bread and biscuity malts. There is a touch of floral hops and a mild bitterness. M: Thin-medium in body with a tingly carbonation. D: This was much maltier than I prefer in a red/amber ale, but still passable.

Draft. Copper color with an off-white head. List malt aroma. Nutty malt flavor with piney hops. Medium bodied. Piney hops and nutty malt linger.

On tap at brewpub. Didnít like the place much. Color was auburn/amber with an off white head. Aroma was pretty weak; maybe caramel. Flavor was quite good for style. Toasted malt, caramel, reddish malt. Ok.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Spotty lacing. Malty aroma with some caramel and hops. Medium, soft body with a sweet malty character. Notes of caramel and nuts in the background along with a pinch of hops. The finish is sweet and malty with a short aftertaste. Just average overall.
