A: This is one of the paler beers Iíve come across in quite some time. The most feeble of yellow hues keep this one from being clear. S: The nose is similarly lifeless, offering not much more than a touch of sweet grain/malt. T: To my surprise, there actually was a flavor to the beer! Though it mostly consists of sweet malts, there is a touch of bitterness and perhaps some floral hops. M: As you might expect, the body is light and the carbonation is plentiful. But, itís somewhat necessary for this beer. D: One of those beers thatís made for the Bud Light crowd. I can see how this is a choice for some, but Iíd prefer a beer with a bit more going on.

Draft at brewery. Yep, thier answer to what the masses want. Not really very exciting. Bready aromas and some slight hop bitterness. Just pretty plain.

Every brewpub has to have one of these to appeal to the Bud drinkers. To Callahanís credit, it is better at this style than many others. Golden in color with small white head. Same funky aroma that most Bud drinkers crave. Lightly hopped and lacking in malt body.

Blake (396) - Orange, California, USA - MAR 6, 2003
Had on tap at Callahan's on March 5, 2003
The beer starts out with a very slight head and a weak aroma. The beer itself is golden-yellow (to be expected. The taste is initially very sweet, which is a bit odd for what I thought would be a golden ale. The taste is not complex at all with only the slightest hint of hops and more sweetness. Nothing too special about this brew.
