Draft at Cally’s. Pours a surprisingly dark, yet clear brown/amber with a red tint. Nose is very subdued until it warms up a bit where it turns to sweet malt. I actually get more of what seems like raspberry than the blackberry puree that is added, maybe it is some interaction with the wheat that lightens it up and gives me this perception. Probably the fruitiest of cally’s fruit beers, this one does have a bit of sweetness and pure fruit flavor with a somewhat heavy palate. Interesting, just seems a bit conflicted.
