From the brewpub 4-19-09. Clear red with a thick off white head. Aroma was caramel, fruit and wheat. Flavor was very Belgian and a little dry.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a reddish brown color with a thick head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee, earthy notes and raisin. Taste is caramel, toffee, raisins, bitter hops. A little on the thin side. Very nice.

On tap at the brewpub on 04/19/2009. Very clear reddish amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet caramel, fruit, and spicy aroma. Spicy and floral flavor, lots of Belgian notes. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

Pint at the brewery. It always amuses me when I get strong Belgian styled beers in a shaker. Anyway, this is a rich ruby color with a firm white head. This smells sweet, I’d wager candi sugar was used. Also noted are bananas, cloves, and leaves. This is a sticky beer, certainly sweet. Not so sugary that I dislike it, but I’d have to be in a dessert mood to enjoy it. Blatant esters, clove, and sweet malts make this one up. It’s a very straight forward, blunt delivery of a Dubbel lacking deep complexity, but it went down pretty well.
