Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed 21.10.11 I picked this up in San Sebastian, Basque region, Northern Spain, July 2011 Pours light golden with a slight haze. In the mouth this is streaky citrus, clean, tart and with a good lemony thrust. Its tangy and simplistic but its quite good and much better than many of the Basque ciders than I’ve had. Clear medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate apple, dry apples, sulfur notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, dry, citrus tart, apples, simple but okay. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20111021]

Bottle at fins ... golden yellow ... soft lemon apple nose ... dry apple tanin ...sharp sharp lemon ... tarty ... not me.

Relatively sweet for a farmhouse cider. Decent apple/pear qualities, but lacking in acidity it’s rather dull. Some medicinal, band-aid notes in the nose. Finish is slightly astringent.
