Aroma of wet raisins and some alcohol. Flavor is a sweet licorice, raisin and toffee. Interesting, I’ve never had an oktoberfest like this. Medium palate. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

This one was way more malty than most, which is a kind of cool twist on this style. cb (809), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA

A touch spicy but not a lot. After he did, many tasted very similar. Somewhere in between the Nut Brown and the Rye. brownalegirl (199), Fountain, Michigan, USA

This thing is butterscotched to all hell - a malty monster of a fest with enough butterscotch candy intensity to rival the taste of Arcadia’s Whitsun. It does eventually get around to some spicier, hoppier action, but is really so crazy sweet you need some good substantial brats and kraut to accompany. GermanBrews76 (667), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Fresh Baked bread & some caramelized malts. Hints of vanilla & nuts. As all of Bob’s beers there’s that great creamy mouthfeel and caramely sweet taste. Hopped a bit more than the others, hints of spices and more bitter. I love the balance. Sweetened even more as it warmed. My favorite Octoberfest so far.
