Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden in color and with a minimal sized, off-white head. Fruity aroma with some pale malts, hay and grass. Rather boring. Medium body, a bit flat. Pale malts and fruityness in the flavor, some bitterness. Short finish. A boring one indeed, but at least not offensive. 120622

The hint of caramel really gives this beer an edge over the Calvinus Blonde. Around the same quality level as the Calvinus Blanche, nice golden appearance. Easy to drink, medium body. Not too much carbonation (which is a problem with some Swiss beers I find). This is pretty decent stuff to drink when in Geneva, just not as good as the excellent Calvinus Noire.

(Bottle) Red brown with very slight head. Aroma of toffee / malt with hint of tobacco. Medium body and medium carbonation. Flavour is unpleasant - slightly sweet, slightly vegetable with hints of tobacco and a watery finish with slight but harsh metallic bitterness. Overall, disappointing.

Bottle from Palais Bieres, Geneva. Dark amber body with prickly body and puffy head. Nose of caramel, malts. Taste also but slightly weak. Okay.

Amber color. Soapy aroma, some vegetables; light smokey touch. Vegetables favor; not good; ordinary bitterness. Quite bad.

Bov (10913) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 26, 2010
courtesy of fiulijn - pours a clear pale reddish-amber colour with a little persistent foam; discrete flowery aroma with light fruity tones; very smooth palate and a moderate malt body, low bitterness and a gentle flowery finish with hints of caramel - deeply unspectacular but technically ok
