Bottle. Small egg-white bubbly head that mostly diminished. Spar lacing. Light cloudy orange colour. Aroma was dusty grain, rye bread, caramel with some fruity and notes as well. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavour was malty sweet with hint of acidic. Light sweet finish.

Brought back from my wife while in Geneva, Switzerland... Best before 7/3/06 Appears a hazy, light gold with a small white cap that quickly fizzles out into a tiny collar. Tiny spots of lace seem to slide back into the collar. Smell is of mild citrus, crisp wheat, black pepper, cream, dough, light coriander, and clove. Taste is of the same aromas with a doughy yeast. Mouthfeel is light bodied, smooth, lightly carbonated, semi-sweet of candy, and mildly dry. Drinkability is refreshing with citrus and light doughy yeast smacking around.

duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - SEP 25, 2006
Bottle. A bit weak i thought. Typical lemony and subtle sopay coriander characters, quite wheaty, with a watery mouthfeel, feels a little empty to me.

Bottle: Tropical banana nose with spicy clove and cinnamon notes. Clear gold with a large white head. Sweet, almost a little nutty with some fruit and spice. Medium-thin bodied, but perfectly drinkable.

Bottle, purchased in Geneva. Pours hazy, light golden color with a small white head. Yeasty, sour-sweet aroma with light wheaty-malty notes, coriander and citrus as well. Sweet and tart flavor, lemon and lime, sourdough bread, pepper and spice with a lingering biscuity finish. Medium body, unfiltered and smooth with gentle carbonation.

bottled geneve, switzerland: coolest bottle fo the trip. nice flip top stopper with some great philosphy of calvin art...right there on the bottle. goldn slight haze rocky bangladish head that stays and waits and, get this, laces like those panties you love to pull off with your teeth. banana spice flavors and a wheat citurs feel. slightly bready. better of the two calvinus beers i had.

Brewed by <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/ShowBrew />Golden color, with live yeast in the bottle; feels like a mix of lager and hefeweizen, with a quite nice malt and spicy character; the body is also a bit sweeter than the average.

daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 26, 2003
Cloudy light orange color with a light, dissipitating white head. Very nice nose of yeast, orange, spices - coriander, finishing dominantly citrusy and appealing. The body is spritzy with a light dusty tartness. Slightly citrusy and very light hop notes at the end, dries rather quickly. Sweet bottle, John Calvin wearing him hat, reminds me of a skit I saw one time when a guy was John Calvin wearing a volleyball on his head. Anyway, the story on the back isn't completely accurate, but quite funny. Cool drinking experience, suffering a little bit from my sisters long trip but still a nice Wit.
