COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
4. Post Tenebras Dignitas

Bottled, thanks fiulijn! Really black, creamy beige head. Fruity nose with some strawberries and notes of coffee. Sweet with above medium body. Salty licorice finish.

(OId BA rate - bottle) Pours with a finger of richly tan head that didn’t stick around too long; dense black color that had hints of brown around the edges. Dark sweet fruits; lightly roasted malts; hint of chocolate in the aroma. Lightly roasted qualities, but would have hoped for more; bittersweet chocolate and hints of prunes/raisins at the end. Medium MF; nice carbonation that was a little more lively. Nice drinking

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a huge and chocolate brown head. Aroma is dark roasted and breadish. Dry breadish and somewhat phenolic flavoured - towards spiced. Roasted and lasting dark malty flavoured into the finish with a light liqourice note.

courtesy of fiulijn - pours a dark black colour under a solid foamy dark beige head; nice lace left on the side of the glass; fairly roasted aroma of milk coffee and touches of vanilla; the palate is tasty, rounded and a bit harsh on the end; good malt backbone; long chocolatey and coffeeish aftertaste with notes of licorice - a bit heavy but quite good

Bottle from the wine shop inside the train station at Geneva airport
Black color; big head. Some caramel aroma, a bit stale. Caramel and chocolate flavor, more than roasted malt, but very simple, with very light ashes; I would not be surprised if it’s a low fermentation and not a Stout/Porter. Boring.

06/01 Well, well. Thanking to Zrinka I got from Geneve a beer that was not even in the database, nor on their official website. A beautiful 0.33 l bottle which poured black body with bigger brown head. Probably the darkest I’ve ever seen. Weak malts in note, coffee, some dark fruits, caramel... If only would be stronger it would be nice. Flavor dominated by the coffee, some caramel with maybe cocoa hints. Medium bodied, with quite full carbonation, finishing long flavored of sourish Turkish coffee. This might also be a dry stout, but Doggythedog know much better on those styles. Quite interesting beer although nothing special.

0.33l bottle courtesy of and shared with heavy whose friend brought it from Geneva
Not 100% sure on the style. It poured a black (dark dark red) opaque body with a tan-brown medium to big sized head that went away slowly. Looks very nice. The nose is a bit weaker than I expected but ok, with notes of coffee and dark chocolate... The taste was thinner than expected, a touch acidulous, coffee, chicory, somewhat dry stoutish, chocolate (70+% cocoa) aftertaste. Drinkable but watery. My impression of the beer degraded as I progressed from the visual to the tasting part... Ah, well... I don’t get to be the first rater of a foreign beer all that often.
