From polycask at Great British Beer Festival, day 3, on 4 August 2011. Cam Valley Orchards seems to be primarily a tree fruit grower making cider as a sideline. Idared is a desert apple variety so, not surprisingly, this is a fairly fruity cider with a little acidity but not much in the way of funk or tannin. Clean and drinkable, with a little sweetness, but lacks the complexity and farmyard appeal of ciders made with traditional cider apple varieties. Mouthfeel is a little thin.

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 3. Pours a pale, clear yellow. Spiced apple aroma. Medium sweet flavor, spices, warm apple. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faint warm finish, with a character reminiscent of apple pie. Very nice.

Light light unclear light yellow colour with virtually non head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy apple, apple peel, green apples, vanila notes, barnyard notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, medium dry, tart, green apple peel, apple tree - leaves notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110804]

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours clear yellow with no head. Sweet, spicy and flat. Red apples and cinnamon. Ends dry.

Cask@GBBF2011. Yellowish golden colour, not much head. Aroma is apples, some yeast, wood, some fruity notes as well as some mild vinegary notes. Flavour is fruits, wood, soem vinegar and rather sweet.
