COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
(Camba Bavaria Amber Ale) Bottle 330 ml at home, thanks to Beerhunter111. ABV 7.2% Dark orange to amber colour on the body, small but thick enough white head, with average retention. Aroma of caramel, red fruits, marmalade, some orange. Taste has more orange, light citrus and hoppy touches, still some marmalade of red fruits, every now and then alcohol. Medium body, good carbonation, nicely dry on the palate. Good beer.

Maker: Camba Bavaria, Truchtlaching, Germany *** Beer: Camba Bavaria Amber Ale (bottled, unfiltered, 330ml) *** Style: Amber Ale (?!) *** ALC.VOL.: 7.2% *** Colour: Deep hazy amber; small creamy off-white head. *** Nose: Fruit punch (Oranges, lemons, morello cherries, black currant), mild medicinal notes, yeast. *** Texture: Medium body, still a wee bit watery. Moderate carbonation. *** Taste: Bitter oranges, lemon, red berries at the start. Yeast, caramel notes. Cinnamon. Not really sweetish though. More caramel and oranges, less bitter now, towards the middle, along with some spices used in cookies. Only mild medicinal notes. Malty, slightly sweet finish with cherry, lemon. Mild, yeasty, not very prolonged aftertaste. *** Impressions: What’s an "amber ale" anyway? It’s not really a style, is it. This one would qualify as an ESB/premium bitter, like Fuller’s 1845 e.g. It’s a good beer, the high ABV barely noticeable.

Sehr geschmacksintensiv!

Keg at the Camba tap, Munchen Ost, 05/02/15. Clear golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, biscuit, light spice, toffee. Taste comprises much the same with a light and unwelcome trace of soap. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light bitterings. Passable and equally forgettable.

330 ml bottle from Bier-Deluxe.de, Germany. Deep amber color, clear, with a big white head. Aromas of caramel, and malts, some hops there as well, and some alcohol notes that seem a bit off-place. Taste is really complex and interesting. Bread and caramel, butter-caramel, fruity notes, and honey on the back with some nuts. Sweet aftertaste, medium intensity and duration. Medium body with low to medium carbonation.

Bottle. Malty and estery beer. Lots of toasted malt, honey and red fruit notes. Subtle citrus in the background. Moderately full body, sweetish, light bitter and warming in the finish. Tasty.
