(swing top bottle) Looks like a Stout: black coloured hue with a brown and massive foamy head. Moderately roasty malty and slightly leafy aroma with notes of liquorice and caramel. Sweet and balanced roasty bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Roasty malt-character with earthy and leafy notes, accompanied by flavours of liquorice, caramel and dark chocolate; dry and moderately roast-bitter finish, accompanied by a mildly malty sweetness. Balanced and tasty Schwarzbier. 19.X.12

Bottle. Caramel, chocolate and cocoa form the unexpectedly deep malty flavour of this beer. Dryish, in part due to the roasted notes, but at the same time rounded off by a soft mouthfeel. Excellent.

courtesy of Jaghana Couleur noire, bonne mousse beige. Nez malt toasté, voir fumé, note chocolat et café en poudre. Gout malt grillé et café froid avec note fumée voir chocolat noir, bien complexe et intense pour une schwarzbier! Nickel

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with low head. Nose is on toasted grain, caramel and cold coffee. Aroma is on dark malt, coffee and smoked notes, creamy, dark chocolate notes, complex and robust, sweet biscuits, very pleasant kind of light baltic porter.

Bottle, ABV 5,6%. Pours black with a decent-sized, beige head. Aroma is salty liquorice, roast, earthiness, coffee. Taste is roast and coffee, some earthiness, light ash. Some salty liquorice. Somewhat sweet that doesn’t really fit and all in all, rather thin. Light, even a tad watery.

33cl bottle @ home. Dark brown with a thin brown head. Creamy, some chocolate, milky sweetness, roasted malt. Flavor is similar, drier though and more chocolate pudding like at first. Finish is dry and roasty. Not your typical Schwarzbier.
