33cl, slighlty past bb 10/2014. Watery, inchoatively creamy dark brown pour. Mild aroma of milk chocolate drink, Nesquick, bayleaf, caffe frappé. Taste also is quite mild for a +6% stout, although well balanced with all advertised ingredients: lactose, milk chocolate, mild char and liquorice, choco pops oats. "Correct" by the book interpretation, multivalent food pairer, without any discernible local twists.

Idiosynkrasie (4099) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 13, 2014
330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, thick, firm, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with a touch of liquorice and dark chocolate, hints of lactose. Taste is roasty dark malty, some lactose, minimal tartness, subtle sweetness, a minimally salty touch of liquorice, hints of dark chocolate. Nothing wrong with it, but not really inviting, captivating nor demanding a retry.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours black with thin beige head. Aroma is light dark malts. Taste is quite placid with a mild milkiness. Not a lot going on it must be said but it’s alright.

330ml bottle. Black with beige one finger head. Lots of carbonation visible. Milky lactose aroma. Taste isn’t as sweet as I like for a milk stout. Not my favorite of the style.

(Draught at Hopfenreich, Berlin, 25 July 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread and a touch of liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, dark bread, milky coffee and a balanced, roasted bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with velvety mouthfeel. A slight sweetness coming through. Well balanced and tasty. Very nice.
