COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Hazy dark amber with a big off-white head that keeps a nice lacing. Aroma is malty, hoppy and sweet, hints of caramel and roasted malt. Flavour is like aroma with more hoppy notes. Low carbonation, light to medium body with a sweet bitter finish.

Copper-amber colour, lightly opalescent, fine pored frothy off white head. Aromas of toasted brioche, mango, peach, papaya, white sultanins develop. Light lively, soft, light velvety texture, medium body. Wheat bread sweetness up front with a building bitterness with a light astringent drying out center. Medium harmonic finish.

Piękna, bujna i trwała piana.

Brewery: Camba Bavaria, Truchtlaching, Germany *** Beer: Hop Gun (bottled, unfiltered, 330ml) *** Style: Brown Ale (?!) *** ALC.VOL.: 6.4% *** "Our hop gun boasts an intense chestnut colour with a bright, lasting head. The nose is dominated by peach, raisins and Amarena cherries. On the palate, the beer is light-footed [yes, that’s what it says] and refreshing." [brewery note, my translation] *** Colour: Hazy deep copper, medium off-white head. *** Nose: Raisins, ripe plums, lemon. Very mild medicinal notes. Sweetish and citrusy at the same time. *** Texture: Full body, a bit oily, but also medium carbonation. *** Taste: Oranges and plums at first, but with a strong accompanying citrusy note. Some herbs, some resin, some caramel. Sour notes gets more dominant towards the middle. Flatlines a bit towards the finish: Yeast and sour lemon, also in the lasting aftertaste. *** Impressions: Initially complex, fruity beer (closer to a stronger IPA than a brown ale, really), very appealing. Finish is mildly disappointing, but it’s a still a good, very drinkable beer.

from Bier-Bienne - clear amber-brown beer under a creamy and long lasting beige foam; yeasty and bready aroma with some red fruity tones (tangerines dominate); medium to full malt backbone, some earthy bitterness and a long malty, nutty and prune-ish finish - closer to an irish ale than to a Brown Ale
