BBE 14.03.2015 - Pours pitch black with a thick light brown head. Aroma of licorice, roasty malts, grassy hops, syrup and chocolate. Taste is hoppy, roasty and grassy with loads of licorice, dark chocolate and coffee. Finish is lingering bitter, fruity and roasty with some salty licorice and syrupy notes. Quite nice and balanced.

Bottle from shop at the Hofstättner brewery. Darkest brown in colour, Fine tan rim. Perfumed floral nose with a tad of anise. Very bitter in taste but quickly softens to a round finish, with earthy leather tones and wet hay.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Fruity hoppy aroma has a grapefruit note, hints of orange zest, some resin, pine, spruce, herbs, roasty dark malty background with bitter chocolate touch. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, bitter and fruity hoppy overtones, moderate sweetness, notes of grapefruit, mandarine, orange, orange zest, dark chocolate, coffee; lasting bitter finish. 33cl bottle at Berliner bierfestival. Pours very dark brown with beige head. Malty aroma, very hoppy with citrus, notes of pine, dark malt and hints of roast. Some chocolate too and hints of coffee. Well crafted and flavourful. Good balance. Refreshing and nice BIPA. (2014-08-02)

Bottle. Pours black with beige head, that stays nicely. Hoppy aroma! Really nice. In taste you gate coffee roastiness but a lot of hops too. They didn’t forget about bitterness and I’m really glad with that. Reallt good beer!

Big frothy and almost creamy head on top of some black liquid. Ahh what a lovely aroma. Black IPA hurray. Tropical fruity, dark malt, grapefruit hoppy and some chocolate. Medium to full body. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Smooth carbonation. Powerful lovely bipa. Nice balance in the flavor as well. Chocolate, coffee, fruity and grapefruit hoppy. Bottle from a trade with McTapps & MichaelAwesome - many thanks to both of you! Pours hazy dark coffee brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of roast and citrus. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with clear notes of roast, liquorice, caramel malt and citrus - a complex experience, indeed. Rough, roasty and bitter afteraste. An interesting one.
