COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Unexpectedly deep, complex and atypical black IPA, pervaded by notes associated with forests. Lots of pine and blueberries in this one, dark chocolate, eucalyptus, vanilla and some floral notes. Full bodied, sweetish, thick and obviously bitter. Amazing rendition of the style.

Tap at Munich Tap House, 18th February 15. Pours a nice looking, black beer, big head. The aroma is rich and full, the beer has a great hop profile and taste, good bitterness, loads if hops, nice roasty notes. Good BIPA

Nice aroma. Some roasted malts, chocolate with resin and tropical fruits. Roaste sunflower also in significant amounts. Pours almost black with very nice head, leaving solid lacing. Taste is definitely bitter, leaves a strange aftertaste, which doesn’t work in its favour. Rather dry. I expected more from this one.

On tap. Roasty and hoppy aroma, lots of resin. After warming up a bit one can feel hints of methylbutanoic acid, which is not very pleasant. Pours jest black with medium, strong head. Taste is juicy fruit mixed with roastiness, and a huge dose of resin bitterness coming from hops, which stays for quite a while. Average carbonation.

Dark brown color, clear with nice, good lacing, lasting head. Aroma is very malted, roasted malts (coffee-cocoa), nice hoppy classic american combination of fragrances (citrus, piney, etc. Flavor is sweet, quite bitter with long duration. Medium boded, carbonation is soft. Amazing BlackIPA by a German micro!!!

Bottle thanks to McTapps! Pours very dark brown, with a big head. Aroma has lots of malts, hops, but not the west coast citrusstyle hops. Very sweet and malty base that finishes with a nice bitterness. Too malty imo.

Bottle from my Secret Santa Sabine. Many thanks! Aroma cascade, grassy, citrusy. Pitch black colour. If aroma did not betray the darkness, the taste definitely does. High bitterness, fruity grassy resiny hops flavour, but at the same time harmonic roasted flavour. Very good.
