UPDATED: MAR 25, 2014 Had one with the new bottle design. This was so terrible I didn’t even finish it. Smelled like nail polish remover, tasted like astringent sweet blerg. Shocking, since some of their other beers are quite good. It did look nice in the glass at least.

Rich, slightly sticky starchy aroma. Baltic porter more than real stout. Looks good, black , large tan head. Simple sticky roasted malts. Palate is a combination of sticky and fizzy. Kinda boring. OK, alcohol well hidden, but everything’s well hidden. Where are the esters?

Bottle. Almost pitch black, beige head. In aroma roastiness, coffee, chocolate, fruits. flavour follows aroma, very nice roastiness. The beer is full bodied, with high bitter finish. In overall not bad but lacks some complexity.

Poured black with a tan head. I could smell smooth chocolate, molasses, cherry, dark fruit and flowers. The flavor was bitter and milk chocolate, caramel, cherry, and fudge. I was surprised that I couldn’t detect alcohol considering the 9.8% ABV. It was very smooth in my mouth and had a medium bitterness. I was really impressed by this beer.

Really like this one. I’ve tried a few English beers from Camba and have been a little disappointed, But this one hits the spot. Plenty of dried fruit, burnt coffee and chocolate in the malt with piney bitterness in the hops - albeit in small amount. Not much in the head. Will drink again.

33cl bottle thanks to Sabine (McTapps) , bottle was shared. Appearance: Clear dark brown, with a light brownish huge head. The head colapses leaving nice amounts of lacing for a impy. Aroma:chocolate, roasted malts, salted liquorice, soy sauce, red fruit esters Taste:Moderate sweet and a nice roasty bitterness, with mainly chocolate and hints of soy sauce and red fruit esters. Finish is a roasty bitterness. medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Solid Imperial Stout, with a very nice appearance.

Bottle. Pours black, nice beige head. Aroma reminiscent of that of a baltic porter: sweet, not really roasty, hints of soy sauce. Notes of chocolate, dark sugar; low bitterness. Medium body, very sweet aftertaste. An ok beer, lacks bitterness to cover the overall sweetness; feels more like a porter, rather than a stout.
