COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Unfiltriertes dunkles Lagerbier
Rein untergärige Bierhefe
Malzig, karamellartiger Geschmack mit leichten Röstaromen
Hauptgärung im offenen Gärbottich; Reifung in liegenden Lagertanks
Gebraut nach dem Rezept unseres Braumeisters und Biersommeliers Markus Lohner aus Truchtlaching

Light brown, minimal head. Aroma is sweet: cookies, wheat, caramel. Taste is roasted, wheaty and malty. Biterness of hay, a bit roasted and bread. The main character is the sweetness which goes from roasted malt to hay. Very good dunkel.

50 cl. swingtop bottle at home. Medium high fluffy lasting white head. Hazy orange brown body. Mild and relatively sweet roasted malt caramel straw aroma. Pretty sweet roasted malt caramel straw aroma with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish.

Copenhagen 22/10 2015. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Some sort of strange fish with wings on the label. Pours slightly hazy orange brown with off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma is sweet with caramel, toffee and a little bitterness. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Taste is quite sweet with brown sugar, honey and caramel. Mild bitterness in aftertaste. A dunkel that's way too sugary for my taste.

courtesy of Philipp and Thomas -; cloudy brown beer with a persistent firm beige foam; light toasted with notes of toffee and walnuts; creamy palate and with a low carbonation, sweet and moderate malt backbone, no bitterness; long and a bit cloying aftertaste of caramel, butter and herbs - not terrible

Bottle. Lively pour and medium brown in colour, with a decent, off-white, head and plenty of fizz. Plenty of brown sugar character, with a touch of nuttiness and gentle finish. Easy, uncomplicated drinking.
