COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Unfiltriertes kastanienfarbenes Lagerbier
Rein untergärige Bierhefe
Malzig, karamellbetontes Aroma
Hauptgärung im offenen Gärbottich; Reifung in liegenden Lagertanks
Gebraut nach dem Rezept unseres Braumeisters und Biersommeliers Markus Lohner aus Truchtlaching

Cloudy amber color with generous compact head. It has a small aroma of cereals. Sweetish malt flavor with an accent of cereals, quite old in character, maybe the date of the bottle, because it also develops a light touch of sweet liquorice; correct bitterness.
Oktoberfest is not easy to put in bottles, this one is not an exception.

Bottle, from trade with fonefan. A gusher, producing a big, collapsing, off-white head on top of a slightly unclear amber body. Malty nose with a hint of caramel and a pleasant fruity touch. The flavor has a nice bitterness towards the end, with pale malts and some roasted notes. Pleasant grassy notes too. Lasting, pleasant finish. A rather nice märzen from a brewery I’m starting to grow fond of. 110420
