33cl bottle in Phnom Penh. Clear pale golden with a small white head. Light malty aroma with cooked vegetables and hint of caramel. Sweet with just a hint of bitterness. Just another SE Asian lager, drinkable, but far from exciting. (2012-04-29)

Just more of the same old swill. Both smells and tastes like urine. So I guess it’s consistent.

(330ml can) Pours a clear pale yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma of mustiness, husk, and grain. Flavor of dirt, dough, grain, and stale crackers with a dry finish.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jgb9348 (3493) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 3, 2012
Clear golden coloured body with a frothy white head about two centimetres thick. Aroma of light malt, a touch of lemons and very light sugars - fairly nice and nothing bad smelling at all. Light-bodied; Mild soapy flavour with some light malt, a touch of sugar and not much else - very very mild. Aftertaste only has a little of the malt, a bit of the sugars and a dash of lemons and herbal flavours - but a very mild, watery beer that doesn’t have much character - a good beer for the hot days here. Overall, not a horrible beer since it hasn’t got much flavour - but not a great beer because of the same reason. I sampled this 33 cL can purchased from Pencil Supermarket in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 03-April-2012 for 2500Rial (US$0.65) sampled later in the evening in my hotel room here in Phnom Penh.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Tim Webb (129) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2012
330 ml bottle from a mini-mart in Phnom Penh. Another political beer - shout ra-ra for Cambodia, striking back against the multinationals with this German collaboration project. Disappointingly dull, technically perfect, international-style mouthwash, vaguely beery. But a big plant and only open since September 2011 so great things may yet come in time. Who can tell?

I purchased a bottle of this beer while in Siem Reap, and added the Brewer and the Beer to the database. Poured the beer into a short glass to drink. The aroma featured a grainy, straw hops aroma with a bit of barley. The beer had a light, clear gold color with an average-sized foamy white head that had decent retention and a good bit of cling. Its taste was predominantly bitter and grainy with a presence of straw and a light sour effect. The body was fairly thin, a bit watery, and had little carbonation without a filling presence in the mouth.
