Real change is here! No longer will American beer lovers be forced to choose between those quirky, eccentric beers of Belgium or the explosively flavorful IPAs of the United States. We have brewed the change we have been waiting for! Liberally hopped to an audacious degree, our Belgian Double IPA reaches across the aisle to bridge the seemingly contradictory brewing philosophies of the old world and new. Our beer uses generous portions of Pilsner and Vienna malts to give it its hazy golden color and rocky white head. Two independent dry hop additions of Simcoe, Chinook, Amarillo, Hallertauer, and Spalt put aside their differences to form a delicious coalition. Floral grassiness dominates the nose with fruity hints of bright citrus well represented. Its subtle spicy flavor comes from a Belgian yeast as well as generous doses of German hops in the kettle. These aggressive flavors are complemented by a determined bitterness and a full but dry finish. All of these characteristics come together in a nonpartisan spirit of cooperation to form a beer that is both righteously flavorful and drinkable. Enjoy! IBU: 70+ OG: 1.076 FG: 1.008 ABV: 8%

Bottle:   Dark and dirty looking, huge head, nice lacing.   Soft citrus and peach notes up front, mild bitterness, a little bit of that powdery sweetness.   A touch dry at the finish.   Doesn’t seem like an IIPA, more like a regular IPA.   Also seems a bit musty, even barnish.   Lingering pith and peel, some sweet citrusy notes.   Decent, a little Danish like in its powdery sweetness.   Didn’t think this was IIPA material tho, however as an IPA its decent.

Bottle split with Ray Ray. Pours a hazy gold with medium, bubbly white head with nice lace. Aroma of citrus, tea, grass, yeast. Medium body, very sweet with a moderately bitter finish. Slightly astringent. Decent hop flavor with grapefruit and earth notes mostly and lots of Belgian yeast character

Bomber share with a friend - orange/gold pour with a robust off white head. Aroma is intense and beautiful - citrus and floral hops up front, intense yeastiness in the background with a slight grassy note as well - I felt that the aroma was quite good for the style and enjoyed the nose throughout. Flavor was above-average as well. Spice/yeast hits up front before the hops take over - citrus hops are the frontrunner, but the piney/floral hops reside in the background. Between the belgian yeast and a decent malt backbone, this was a well-balance version of the style. Palate was oily and medium to heavy bodied - an easy drinker however, and the 8% is completely hidden (not that this is particularly high for a DIPA). This one exceeded my expectations as we pulled it off the menu on a whim - would definitely like to enjoy again, and feel that this on draft would be particularly delicious.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein minimal trübes organgegelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig fruchtig, alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr malzig alkoholisch, fruchtig herb, würzig.

It poured a clear orange/yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, trees and a little sweetness. The taste was sweet at first before getting a bitter kick and then gets sweet again before finally having a balanced aftertaste. Very nice.

From a bottle. Pours almost clear bright gold with a fizzy white head. Smells like sweet, sugary orange and strong hops. Tastes hoppy, malty, not much other flavor. Light body and low carbonation.
