COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with aromatic barley malt, fresh, hand-harvested heather flowers were added to the kettle during the boil along with sweet gale and lavender. It was then barrel-aged with Lactobacillus in French oak wine barrels.

EBF Golden pour with a light head. Aroma is heather, floral , some honey, some barrel notes of wood, a light medicinal sourness. Flavor is more herbal, floral notes, grassy, more medicinal sour. Interesting.

Draft at EBF. Peter told me there was lavender and brett in this beer so i went to try it. Pours a copper body with a white head. Spicy with menthol and peppermint notes, earthy drier with some lavender like notes, a hit of vious warming with a drier palatable finish. Interesting spiced beer, very nice.

EBF 2010 Session One: Hazy deep golden with a fading white head. The aroma has notes of floral heather, lavender, chamomile, and mild clover honey- quite herbal and soft overall. Silky fluffy body. The body has a soft tartness underneath the complex layers of herbaceous qualities. Lavender and chamomile predominate with a very dry finish. Unique and complex.

Pouring at session one of EBF in Boston. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Heather! Lots of it. Very pretty aromas, but a touch medicinal. Faint sourness, heather, wheat. Herbal. Interesting.
