3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 wilderthanyou (669) - Guelph, CANADA - MAY 4, 2013
A solid beer. Pours a nice deep amber with a thin white cap. The aroma is an almost confused mix of malt and hops, neither stands up front or in the back, seems as though they are all trying to b first through the gates, caramel, toffee, citrus, grapefruit, an astringent note, almost medical, it’s weird, but interesting. The flavour is equally strange, muddled sort of experience, toffee mixed with citrus, mixed with milk chocolate, mixed with medical notes. Ends on a candiend orange and chocolate note.

Peach, grapefruit along with pine and slightly resinous notes. Bitterness lingers for a long duration. Hops are Earthy and green. This is flavorful and balanced well with the right level of malt. 3.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 HighWine (842) - Whalesbro, Illinois, USA - MAR 4, 2012
Tap flight at the brewery. This taster came out with a dark golden, light amber pour with the THICKEST head I have ever seen in a taster glass and quite possibly ANY beer glass. It literally flowed over the edge like the crust on a pot pie our a soufflé, rising about an inch over the glass and even draping over the side like a beret without dripping down. Unbelievable. 5. The lacing is like the spray on bed liner in a pick up truck. Rediculous. Aroma of sweat socks 4. Taste is very hoppy but propped up by a sturdy malt backbone. The familiar coffee roast flavor of CBCs beers is present here, too. Almost reminds me of Mikkeller Coffee IPA. 9. Chewey in the mouth. 4. Delightful. 17.
