On draft at the brew pub. Amberish color with malty characteristics. Hops are there but not overwhelming.

This special new hop varietal may have promise, but it’s hard to tell when the flavors are overwhelmed by sweet maltiness. Not bad but nothing exceptional

A Mes rate. Tap at Cambridge.
Clean golden brown. Thin white head. Good spice and fruit, pleasant creamy malt character and something strangely meaty about it. Kinda reminds me of tacos. Weird. But thoroughly enjoyable.

 Clear amber pour with a pale white crown of lacing. Aroma began as citrusy hops, but disappeared pretty quickly. Grain husk up front. Not much sweetness, but not lacking in malt presence like a Stone IPA. Bitter all over. This really sinks into the tongue and sits there. It’s an aggressive bitterness, chinook-like. I hesitate to call anything too bitter, but this approaches that territory. But, given this obvious bitterness potential In the hop, the beer is well balanced. Equally citrusy and piney. Can’t really call that much other than grapefruity, with that bitterness. There is also a distinct note of watermelon, not right up front, but early on. Shows off some earthiness at times. As I drink aroma come ps back here and there, showing off some of that watermelon. Mouthfeel is light, but not thin. Carbonation is on the high side, but appropriate, lending an additional sharp edge. Overall, a huge kick in the ass. What certain aforementioned brewers market themselves as, this actually is.
