GABF-Pours deep brown w/no head at all. Sour cherries and vanilla in the nose, somewhat almond-like. Heavy lactic sourness. Slight almonds. Very dry. Very interesting beer and the first sour beer that my wife liked.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
GABF 2005: Looking forward to tasting this since day 1 and almost forgot to get some till I was at the booth sampling Cambridge other beers. Anyway...murky unfiltered brown with just a bit of head and lace. The aroma is indeed cheery, sweet malt, mild bready and farmhouse yeast esters. The taste was similar the nose (a good thing) with an additional surprise of lime on the finish (glad too see I was not the only person to detect that). The feel was crisply acidic. Another solid beer from this brewery.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
GABF ’05. Musky brown body. Sweet cherry aroma with tart lame-brett and a hint of wood dryness. The flavor starts with pie cherry skin, lime peel over fruity, bready malt. To me the lime doesn’t work well in the flavor. Otherwise a good beer, bit ligt in the mouthfeel.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: OCT 20, 2008 RERATE, GABF 08: Hazy brown. Lively carbonation. Rich fruit flavors of cherry pomegranate, cranberry and raspberry. Full, bold sourness. Ballsy tartness to boot. Great levels of catty bile, acid and vinegar. Dryish, gum-tingling finish. One of my favorites at this year’s GABF (2008) ... and probably last year’s as well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
GABF 2005. Cloudy brown, thin head. Light sour cherry aroma. Taste is big bitter, sour, and tart cherries. Quite a sour kick in the throat as you swallow. Alc is well masked with only a slight burn.
