COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep and dark, full-bodied and robust, our Porter is crammed full of rich roasted malt character. With underlying notes of fruitness, caramel, and toffee, it finishes with a strong hop presence.

On tap at CBC. Light toasty aroma. Bitter roasty and creamy taste. Good Porter; nothing to complain or rave about here.

Appearance: Dark brown with a small beige head and good lacing.

Aroma: Roasted malt forward with milky notes, hints of vanilla and light fruitiness.

Taste: Moderately sweet (a bit too much), chocolate, milky notes, roasted malt and light caramel.

Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. A bit chalky and silky mouthfeel. Roasty and milky mouthfeel.

Overall: Decent porter with nice chocolate-y features, but a tad too milky for my liking.

On tap on the premise. Pours jet black with very low beige head. Some lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some acidity, very slight ashes, bitterness. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Soft carbonation. Overall: Good. Classic.

on tap on the premises. unclear dark brown pour with a small light beige cap, reviving and leaving nice lacing. burnt woodsy caramel, smooth coffee, peppery red fruitiness, astringent plants and spices, just a touch of acidity. average to light carbonation, light body, balanced lightly resinous-coffee finish. slightly above average porter.

Pours black into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Charred toffee and espresso aromas. Dark chocolate and dark pit fruit upfront turning to espresso in the bitter hop finish.

Présence d’un mince col beige mousseux et d’une fine dentelle le verre. Saveur: Goût de céréale grillée avec une pointe de chocolat et d’houblon. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement onctueuse. Faible effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement chocolaté. (Rating #5536)
