COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION BITTER is a class of English traditional ale, with three general subcategories: Ordinary, Special Bitter, and Extra Special Bitter or ESB for short. Terms like ordinary, special, and extra special don’t mean that one is better than another. Rather, these designations indicate in their broadest sense a difference in original specific gravity and final alcohol content. East Side E.S.B. is brewed with pale and dark caramel malts, with a touch of roasted and chocolate malt from Great Britain. It is kettle hopped with Cascades and Centennial, then dry-hopped with East Kent Goldings to create a complex hop character complimentary to the richness of the malt. Unfiltered and well balanced, the malt and hops blend with a gentle natural carbonation making for a refreshing, quaffable brew. Enjoy!! OG: 1.058 FG: 1.014
