Pours unclear orange amber with a white head. Aroma of amber malts and spices. Flavor brings zesty malt flavors and some subtle spice.

22 oz bottle. Batch 03, Sept 2012. Pours a hazy orange, reminescent of an actual pumpkin, with a 1/2" of creamy off white head. Real pumpkin aroma with complimentary spice scents which do not attempt to dominate. Taste is ever so slightly sweet. More pumpkin balanced nicely with light spice and a bit of hoppiness. Easy to drink and smooth. Spices linger on the tongue. Nicely done.

Had this brew a few times, my favorite being from a firkin at a local brew fest. It was just awesome from a cask. One of my favorite pumpkin seasonal I look forward to it every year. Try it on cask if you can

On tap at Barleyfest - Hadley, MA. Classic minty nose that seems to emerge from the gentle use of cinnamon combined with pumpkin. Immediately the spiced sugars come out with the meaty and hearty tooth of pumpkin flesh. Thankfully, the spices are restrained and this is good. Not Selinís Grove good, but leagues above most pumpkin beers. Good body, nice spicing, and a rich flavor base. A nip sweet. If I like a pumpkin beer it must be good, because I largely loathe spiced beers.

(22oz bomber thanks to jleblanc) Clearish deep amber, ring of tiny tan bubbles. Nose of pumpkin, spices, pumpkin pie filling, not super rich but definitely noticeable, sweet potato/yam, a touch of brown sugar, and light lager-style yeast. Is this a lager? Tastes like one with its earthy notes in the taste, alongside muted pumpkin mash, nutmeg and cinnamon, clove, spicy, an interesting take on a pumpkin beer, but the feel of forced carbonation takes away from what could be a really creamy body. A good pumpkin that I would seek out again though.

Hazy orange gold. Good pumpkin, nutmeg and toast on the nose. Medium-bodied, well balanced palate with great pumpkin flavors and no sweetness.

Draft at the brewpub, shared by my wife. Pours a semi-cloudy orange-gold color with a small white head. Notes of nutmeg, brown sugar, sweet malts, cinnamon, and even a slight vegetal/gourd note. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a dry finish but primarily earthy, vegetal mouthfeel. I like the sessionability of this; I normally tend toward the bigger pumpkin ales (like Schlaflyís, at 8%) but this works.

Pumpkin beers are my favorite of all seasonal beers, but in my opinion they are the most missed in the good taste column. This one was good, but didn't live to the hype. The body was a little light, even though the aromas were very pleasing. Still recommend you try it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into snifter. Super pumped to finally try this pumpkin! The aroma has nice presence of pumpkin, cinnamon and spice but the flavor doesnít really match up. The flavor is somewhat bitter and lacking that pumpkin flavor so Iím more then a little disappointed with this one.

Not a bad pumpkin. More of a session autumn ale then what I typically look for in a pumpkin but still tasty. More pumpkin flavor than pumpkin spice which was also fairly refreshing
