Pouring at session one of Belgian Beer Fest in Boston. Pours a hazed brown with a thin beige head. Big acid, soft caramel and toast. Touch nutty at first, then loads of acid. Long tingly acid, super acidic. Probably the most acid in any of the beers at the fest. Brutal, but good.

Tap at Night of the Barrels (EBF). So a very interesting brewery but not quite sure what all the fuss about this one - not that it was a very interesting beer but many people said this was the highlight of the festival - thought it was a solid beer just not the best of the night - definitely worth trying though! Slightly hazy mahogany with a light bubbly head. Some farmhouse, sour, caramel, balsamic vinegar, and a bit of cherry that becomes a little more like cough syrup. Low carbonation, moderate body, prickly from the booze though (high alcohol for a lambic).

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2011 A lightly hazed reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a superb sourness, light cork, horseblanket, ground cherries. In mouth, a good refreshing lambic with corky notes, ground cherries, lactic and acetic acid, nice alcohol warmth. On tap at Belgian Beer Fest, Sept 10 2011.

Tap @ Belgian Beer Fest 2011. Cloudy w. no head. Nose is light acetic acid, caramel & balsamic. Flavor is acetic & balsamic, lemon, wood and some caramel to back it up. The caramel is confusing - its nice, but quite different.
