COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION “If a Muscat wine can taste of oranges, then so can a beer. It is the orange taste, and the sweet-and-dry spiciness, that distinguishes the ‘white’ wheat beers of Belgium.” * The Belgian style of “white” (wheat) beer has its origins in the Brabant region at what became the town of Hoegaarden (pronounced who-garden), which had its own Guild of Brewers dating to the 1500’s.Traditionally brewed with pale barley malts and raw wheat, we have included both malted and raw wheat in the mash. It is very lightly hopped, and is flavored with fragrant orange peel and with freshly toasted and ground coriander and grains of paradise. Our Belgian yeast strain was used to ferment and condition, and it is the combination of suspended yeast and wheat that give the beer its hazy, peachy color. Light in body, it is very effervescent and refreshing. Excellent at any time, it also goes especially well with citrusy or spicy foods, or desserts that feature orange or chocolate flavors. And yes, yet another musical reference as Into The White is a B-side to the Pixies’ Here Comes Your Man, released in 1989. Dig it! Cheers, The Brew Crew *from Michael Jackson’s Beer Companion.
